Welcome to the aSoudif Experience

Unlike standard cardboard puzzles, an aSoudif wooden jigsaw puzzle requires a slightly different approach. Follow this guide to maximize your enjoyment.

Step 1: The Unboxing & Setup

  1. Clear a Flat Surface: Wooden pieces are thicker (5mm) and have no interlocking "snap" like cardboard. Ensure your table is completely flat. We recommend using a puzzle mat or a felt surface to prevent pieces from sliding.
  2. Breathe it In: Upon opening the box, you will notice a distinct, campfire-like aroma. This is a natural result of our CNC laser-cutting process and will gently dissipate over time.

Step 2: Sorting Strategy

Forget the old "find the edge pieces first" rule! Due to the irregular borders of our animal and mandala shapes, the edge is often the hardest part.

  • Sort by Color & Texture: Group pieces based on similar color gradients or distinct patterns.
  • Isolate the "Whimsies": Separate all the recognizable animal or geometric shaped pieces. These whimsical pieces often serve as excellent anchor points to build around.

Step 3: The Assembly Technique

  • Slide, Don't Force: Since the pieces are laser-cut with high precision, they fit together exactly. If a piece requires force, it is likely in the wrong spot. Slide them gently into place.
  • Build in Clusters: Instead of building from the outside in, build small recognizable clusters (like an eye, a flower, or a specific animal piece) and gradually merge these islands together.

Step 4: Preservation

Once completed, your aSoudif puzzle is a striking piece of decor.

  • To frame it, carefully slide a thin piece of cardboard underneath the finished puzzle.
  • Apply an even layer of specialized wooden puzzle glue to the back of the puzzle. (Do not apply tape to the front, as it may damage the UV print).
  • Let it cure for 24 hours before mounting it in a frame or displaying it on a stand.
